Hi, welcome, and thank you for visiting our website!
I am delighted to introduce you to The Kids Niche, a Birmingham nursery whose mission statement is to provide a platform where the ‘foundations of inclusive ethos’ are available to all its members.
As our founders are also qualified childminders, they felt that it was important that a nursery setting is able to provide essential nurturing as well as the qualities of home.
The Kids Niche is a nursery service in the heart of a multicultural setting where the community can benefit from the services it will provide from its Hub, especially local parents. As a nursery, we offer 45 places to children from the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
We also offer an excellent after-school facility until 6:30pm. Our staff can collect children from schools within a 1-mile radius*. Your children can eat, relax, play, and unwind after the school day. Our highly qualified staff can also support children with their homework should they choose to complete it here rather than at home.
We provide a menu that offers a range of healthy meal options that are nutritional and cater to dietary requirements. Children can take this opportunity to recognise and request meals provided in their homes. We are currently working towards achieving our Healthy Eating Award.
Our Kind and Dedicated Staff
At the Kids Niche, we employ staff with the highest standards of care and dedication. They create a setting where your child’s social, emotional, and physical development can grow in a safe and secure environment. As the children have their own key worker, children are allowed to explore a range of activities within the setting as well as the spacious outdoor facilities that we offer.
Dedicated staff make regular trips to places such as local parks, libraries, a city farm, and Hickory Dickory – just to name a few. This is to help children gain enriched cultural capital experiences about the social world around them. With us, children also learn awareness skills such as road safety, stranger danger, how to buy items, and recognising mini-beasts.

At the Kids Niche, we follow Startwell’s best practices to be champions for healthy early life experiences. Birmingham-based, this programme has been designed to improve the knowledge, skills, and confidence of Early Years Professionals like ourselves. From child-sized portions to positive physical activity to brushing their teeth, we encourage kids to join in and enjoy the fun of a heathy lifestyle.
